Avalon pricked her ears to listen what was going inside. She backed up a little, ready to run once Jericho came out. That is, if he ever did come out. She stood in front of the door, keeping her head close to it to hear what was happening inside.

Jericho's plan didn't work like he'd hoped. The man went straight for his with weapon in hand. Still Jericho was much more clever than the man and he slipped under the mans legs. Quickly reaching for a loaf of meat the man was working on her made his escape. The man could do nothing but yell a sting of insults at the dog. Then he was out. Jumping through the same window he entered in he headed towards Avalon.

Avalon saw Jericho coming and turned away. She sprinted through the streets, dodging trashcans, people, and cars. She took a sharp turn into an alley and leaped into a crate. Inside the crate were feathers and some old cushions. She yawned and waited to see if Jericho would come.

Jericho had a little bit of a harder time keeping up with Avalon. He wasn't so used to running and having people star at him. Also the fact that there was a giant loaf of meat in his mouth didn't help. Still he followed as best he could and turned into the same ally she did. His stomach sank though when he didn't see her anywhere.

Avalon leaped out of her crate and stared straight at Jericho. She was smiling happily. "Congratulations. You've proven that you're worthy to become an alpha. " She hopped on top of a flipped over trashcan, ready to make her speech.
"I will make you the second alpha of Brooklyn Clan. May everyone know your name and fear it. I hope you and me will become one of the greatest rulers in this Clan."

Jericho snuffed a bit, 'Second?' he though to himself, not even an equal title, but a second. Still is was better than nothing. Still he wondered, "Are the Alphas a breeding pair?" He asked without thinking. It was a question in his mind but he didn't expect it to actually exit his mouth.

"They don't have to be..." Avalon jumped down from the trashcan and picked up a large rope. She started chewing on it, tearing out the bits of string. She glanced once up in the sky where large clouds were coming. They were gray and the scent of rain was carried with them. "You better make a nest in one of these crates or something. The rain is getting closer."

Jericho nodded and tried to ignore the fact that he asked the question in the first place. Placing the meat down he picked a crate and went back for some rope. He chewed it as fast as he could, making a warm lining around the box. In truth he didn't know what do do now. He was now an alpha to a clan. Alongside Avalon.

"After this storm passes, we can try to look for recruits." Avalon stood up and sat down near her crate. She threw in the bits of rope and did not care to even it around her nest. "I have a feeling that the other Clans are starting to get more members. It'd be important to have more members and be the strongest around."
She yawned, getting a little sleepy. She watched as two cats crawled out of the darkness of the alley and run away. Avalon would usually bark and chase after them, but not today. "You can have the meat if you want. I"m not that hungry."

Jericho looked at her and then looked away. "It's fine, I may be a fighter but, I at least have manners. If You aren't hungry save it for tomorrow. I can finds something later." The too jumped into his crate and laid down. Though it looked small it was actually quite roomy. Still...other clans.

Avalon slowly crept into her crate. She closed her eyes, but no sleep came. Many thoughts were stuck in her head that didn't want to leave. If there was only a way to get help from the other dogs in the animal shelters. Oh well, they're stuck there. A strong wind blew and with it came rain.

Jericho winced a bit as the rain beat down on him. It was cold. He was used to sleeping under a staircase or in a dumpster but an open box was new. "Still..." he whispered to himself, "Other clans...here? And what would become of his and Avalon's clan?" He had grown to like her personality. She wasn't weak like other dogs. Still, he decided it was best to try and sleep.
